Trombly Ltd. was incorporated in Hong Kong at the start of 2006. It is a continuation of a Massachusetts-based editorial business that Maria Trombly operated as a single proprietorship for the previous seven years.
Since expanding to China, the business has grown quickly -- revenues have doubled and new employees were hired to help manage the increased workload.
Today, Maria Trombly and her team provide editorial content to over a dozen international business and trade publications, including Computerworld, Managing Automation, Furniture Today, Securities Industry News, Insurance Networking News, Card Technology News, CIO Magazine, CIO Insight, BYTE, Advertising Age, CMO Magazine, China Economic Review, and Shanghai Business Review.
Both staff and freelancers of Trombly Ltd. must agree to an ethics code that prohibits conflicts of interests. An online editorial workflow database is available to editors which includes all transcripts of interviews, full contact information for all sources, and research notes for all articles. The database helps ensure quality control and provides for real-time oversight of the editorial process.
Maria Trombly is a fully accredited journalist in China and as a result she and her staff have access to government officials, conferences,and other limited-access events.
Trombly Ltd. is currenty in the process of launching a magazine covering business in central and western China.
